Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of diverse communities. People who have never known about it may mistake it for an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is often referred to as her birthplace. It is true that she stayed there for a short time. Brugel grew in Courtice close to Oshawa. She had a dream to dance but an increase in her height led to her growing beyond her dance partner. The Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I outgrew my male partners I stopped. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. In Brugel's case, it was the encouragement from her drama teacher in high school who pushed her to the path she needed. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to pursue a role for the school's annual production. She auditioned and was cast in the role of Anne of Green Gables. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. Her career spans twenty years, and she's performed in more than 60 shows that have screened on large screens and smaller ones. Her most recognizable role was that of Rita (pictured in the below photo) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in the season 1 which was viewed only at times.
